For The Nature of BEing: A Healing Journey:

From Amazon.com

5.0 out of 5 stars  An Inspiration
“As a Marriage and Family Therapist and as a person on my own personal journey, I enjoyed this memoir very much. This is an easy, but meaningful read. It is full of great resources and personal insights that can aid others in their journeys to wholeness. The author not only advocates self-compassion, but models it, as well. She clearly shows how her pain became a gateway to healing her whole being as she followed the path that opened up to her. I definitely think her work is an inspiration.” — Ramblin Gran

5.0 out of 5 stars How to live with chronic illness and still feel whole
Through Ms. McClellan’s personal journey, she teaches us how to navigate the spiritual journey of the physical and emotional chaos that accompanies severe, chronic illness. She reminds us to look to God, nature, and our inner Be-ing for happiness and wholeness, regardless of our physical condition. By changing our mindset, she shows how we can accept pain and suffering with more equanimity and not be a victim of our circumstances. As someone who “suffers” with a chronic disease, I found this book honest, validating, and inspiring. — J. Leonard

5.0 out of 5 stars Misthaven of Maine, Worth the Travel
Absolutely loved, Loved, LOVED this book. Being a born and bred Mainer I appreciate the feelings this book evokes. The ocean descriptions and the views of the people are so true and genuine. I kept expecting something horrible to happen and I was happy to see that beauty ultimately returned. This book was lost in my TBR list, I am so glad I found it. I highly recommend Misthaven of Maine. It is clean of smut and foul language and heavy on love and loyalty. Pick up a copy. This book is good for the soul.” Shirley B

5.0 out of 5 stars Highly recommended
“Like one of Eliza Hales’ paintings, Misthaven is a work of art. Each word is like a brushstroke of hue and value on the artist’s canvas creating a lifelike picture. The characters are well-developed and easy to relate to. The strong bond of enduring love and friendship carried throughout the story is appealing. I especially enjoyed the variety of locales and although I’ve never been to Maine, I felt as if I were there. I thoroughly enjoyed the story. It has something for everyone. It’s hard to believe this is the author’s debut novel. I can’t wait to read more of her work!” — 39428 “K”

5.0 out of 5.0 stars Great Read

“I love a book that I have to make myself put it down because it’s so good and this is the first I have found in a long time. I also appreciate what I take as respect for me as a reader in the fact that there are no swears of any type in the book. This is a book I can read with my nieces with no worries about censoring anything. As a reader I appreciate that I can introduce them to a wonderful read that encompasses two places I love which are Boston and Maine. I am buying them this book for their birthdays. It is a definite read.”— Sue

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the Best Books I’ve ever Read
This book would be a great inspiration for a teenage girl to read. I love it because it leaves out the gore and sex that is in the other books. I did not want to put the book down. I loved it. I can’t wait for Journey to Beyond to come out. Thanks Loretta Boyer McClellan. Beautiful Book.” — Shirley

4.0 out of 5 stars Artistically & beautifully told story
“Misthaven is a wonderful debut novel. Eliza is a solid, stoic character having endured the death of her mother years before. She doesn’t dwell on her hardships but focuses on her promising future. She is a good daughter and support to her widowed father. Her idyllic friend/love interest Caleb seems almost too good to be true, but as the novel progresses, he demonstrates his “human” side. Her best friend Ashleigh appears to be a materialistically driven person, but her fidelity as a friend and studious, entrepreneurial nature balance her out. What I enjoyed most about the book are its descriptions- they are exquisite! I have never been to Maine (I don’t count the Bangor airport as having been there:) but I feel now as if I can picture myself on Hales island or on Eliza’s private boat. I also like the variety of locales and all of the art references. A winning combination for me!” — mmehardy

4.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Maine

I also like that this novel covers an extended period of time. I look forward to reading future novels from the author. “ — Peanutgirl

From Book Review

“…Although her fiction works aren’t included in the Christian genre, they are proffered as clean in content! Which proved true…A delightful love story taking place along the Eastern seaboard, Misthaven of Maine was a good read. Suckng [sic] me in with what would become of Eliza’s feelings for her childhood friend, Caleb, it held my attention to the end…”
