FROM THE AUTHOR:
On writing The Little Book of Everlasting Joy: 16 Pieces of Wisdom for Our Time
“Joy is a topic that I have been ruminating on for some time now. In my last book and memoir, The Nature of Being: A Healing Journey, I reflected on joy as the outcome of living my true nature, and that by doing so, I AM Joy. Going forward, that experience of introspection affected me deeply, particularly as a writer. To BE Joy, I needed to write not just from the heart, as I always have, but to also write with an open authenticity of absolute fearlessness, one of the 16 topics in my latest work, The Little Book of Everlasting Joy. This courage opened myself up for a gift, a writer’s prompt that I share in the preface of my new book.
“Society has changed as of late, bringing about an amplification of this inner dialogue on the subject of Joy as not just something we can aspire to as a quality to become and maintain, but a lens to observe all things through, to embrace as our Divine right. With the escalation of troubled times and equally troubled souls, things fell into place for a self-help book to emerge, an inspirational work that unlocks the hidden treasure of joy as not just a lasting state of being, but a primary reason for our existence, despite the suffering of mind, body and/or spirit. As are all my writing endeavors, The Little Book of Everlasting Joy: 16 Pieces of Wisdom for Our Time was a lesson to ponder and apply for myself, first and foremost.
“I wish readers joy on their journey, and joy everlasting.” —Loretta Boyer McClellan
