Solving the World’s Problems: Meditation, Peace by Peace

beautiful_woman_practive_yoga_on_river_in_nature_by_adamr_of_freedigitalphotosdotnetGoing inward in contemplation or meditation is a place of truth, peace, and well-being.  Not traditionally a method of escape, it is a way to connect with ourselves, and with all beings—of inter-being.  What do we do when so many in our world are suffering?  Are we connected to their hurts and fears when we meditate “together?”

Meditation abides as a collective conscious—pure awareness—without attachment.  With practice, meditation allows for freedom in being our true nature, of our authentic self, stripping away the worry and day-to-day foci, whether mundane or overwhelming.  Suffering exists; however, things that used to provoke or agitate are not erased, but our reaction to them changes, as we become balance.  Not balanced, as in an adjective or quality, but balance as a natural state and way of being—all-encompassing.

Relaxation and healing, or more accurately, self-healing, are byproducts of rediscovering our true nature and balance.  When we are no longer dwelling on pain, or addressing the bristles of illness or suffering as much because we’re in a place of abundance, compassion, and clarity, healing takes on new meaning—and our body, mind, and spirit inherently understand this.

With the turmoil that is demonstrated in the world today, including countless acts of hatred, we can ground ourselves in the peace of restoration, instead of devastation.  It may seem pointless, or perhaps counterproductive for one human being to consider meditation as a global measure, but by its very nature, meditation is a collective healing without boundaries, limitless in its reach.  It is an energetic source of not only transformation, but renewal—in returning to who we truly are, which in essence is infinite.

Even when one person meditates, it is inter-being, which is Infinity times Infinity.  It is a perfect equation, an exponential opportunity to help heal equally, peace by peace.
